One of God's most faithful servants, Jean Henry, formerly of Watsontown and Kratzerville PA, died Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. Jean (Bowman) Henry was born July 4th, 1929, to George and Maime (Meyer) Bowman.
Jean is preceded in death by her lifelong husband, Rev George W. Henry. Together they served many churches for over 40 years. She did most of his administrative work and faithfully served the Lord for a lifetime. In her early years she worked at Kresges in Lebanon PA and later was a school secretary. She was a magnificent wife and mother!
Jean loved music and taught herself to play the organ. She was a bit of a foodie ... loved lobster, spaghetti, clams and linguini and scrapple. Her favorite was licorice (black), particularly Good and Plenty and Reeses Peanut butter cups!
She was able to live alone until the last two years. Her final home was Williamsport South where she was well cared for and loved.
Jean is survived survived by two sons. Edward A. Henry of Bradenton, FL, and his significant other Mary Peed and Michael G, Henry and his wife Kasthuri living in Belize. She had 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was truly loved by all and will be dearly missed. Finally, home with the Lord! Godspeed!
