Edward L. Yeagle, 82, of Watsontown, formerly of Allenwood, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at Kramm’s Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, Milton.
Born March 6, 1930 in Allenwood, he was the son of the late Elwood and Alice Frantz Yeagle. He married the former Freda M. Umpstead on May 29, 1948 and celebrated sixty three years of marriage until her death on Nov. 10, 2011.
Ed was a self-employed roofing and siding contractor. He was a member of the White Deer Valley Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are a son, Clair E. (Susan) Yeagle of Watsontown; daughters, Connie E. (Winton) Yorke of Hughesville and Donna M. Reish of Milton; sisters, Margaret Truckenmiller of Watsontown and Martha White of West Milton; five grandchildren, Michele Perry, Jody Ulrich, Jeremy Shoemaker, Terry and David Yeagle and 11 great grandchildren.
Ed was predeceased by a son, David Yeagle in 1976 and a brother, Hoarce Yeagle.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11 AM at the Uniontown Cemetery, Allenwood with Joani Yagel, former U.M.C Lay Speaker, officiating. No Visitation.
The family will provide flowers and suggest contributions in Ed’s memory be made to the White Deer Valley Baptist Church, 572 White Deer Valley Baptist Church Road, Allenwood, PA 17810.
