Roger Dale Deeter, 69, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at his home in Montgomery, where he lived with his niece and nephew, JoAnn and Russell Clauges Sr.
Born May 4, 1954 in Montgomery on the same property he currently resided, he was the son of the late Kenneth Robert Deeter and Cinderella Mae (Knorr) Deeter.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Roger loved going to flea markets, playing cards, and especially enjoyed playing Sorry with his nieces. In his younger years he enjoyed doing Judo with his brother-in-law, Kenneth VanBuskirk.
Roger is survived by one brother: Wayne Deeter Sr., of Watsontown; four sisters: Patty (Thurman) Stiffler, of Hughesville, Nancy (Stanley) Gilman, of Chiefland, FL, Anna Mae VanBuskirk, of Bath, NY, and Peggy (Jimmy) Deeter-Klopp, of Savona, NY; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephew, which he all loved dearly.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law: Ellen Deeter; brother-in-law: Kenneth VanBuskirk; and nephew: Richard Deeter.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no viewing, there will be a committal service held on Monday, April 22 in Muncy Cemetery, following his sister-in-law, Ellen’s service with Rev. James Pentz, officiating.
